# OSS Tier Terms
Last updated: April 26, 2026
The OSS tier is a free plan for teams that maintain genuine open source projects.
## Who Qualifies
Your team and project must pass the following conditions to qualify.
- Open source licence. Every public module in your organisation is released under an OSI-approved licence, clearly identified in the module with a
`LICENSE`file. - Public repository. The source for your modules must be hosted somewhere public such as GitHub.
- Actual community project. The project exists to produce or serve open source software.
## Signing Up
Create a new organisation and select the OSS plan.
## What's Included
- Unlimited public modules
- Unlimited users
## Misuse
Do not use the OSS tier as a way to sidestep a paid plan. We may review OSS accounts and request evidence of the qualifications above. If we find the account is being misused under these terms we may suspend your account and ask that you move to a paid plan.
The [Terms of Service](/terms) and [Acceptable Use Policy](/acceptable-use) still apply.
## Changes to the OSS Tier
We may change what the OSS tier includes or the eligibility criteria at any time. We'll announce OSS-tier changes with reasonable notice through the dashboard and email.
